Prof. Ranjith Senaratne is a distinguished Sri Lankan academic, researcher, and higher-education leader known for his longstanding contributions to science, innovation, and national development. As the founder of the IDTDS Committee of the Sri Lanka Association for the Advancement of Science (SLAAS), he has played a pioneering role in promoting interdisciplinary dialogue, fostering scientific research, and supporting young scholars. Prof. Senaratne has held s everal key positions in Sri Lanka’s university system and continues to be recognized for his visionary leadership, commitment to capacity building, and dedication to advancing science for societal well-being.
